Resumen
Today, modern people are under the double weight of work pressure and family issues, which
generate serious conflicts and imbalances between work and life. This question about how to
balance work and life has gradually become important in the management of Chinese enterprises.
The objective of this master thesis is to study the general situation of work-life balance practices
in China according to the availability and use of work-life balance practices and their importance
at a social and business level. To complete this review, it is identified, described and analysed
different work-life balance practices in a Chinese company like Alibaba Group, which is
considered as a referent in China.
Conclusions are divided into three categories: theoretical, China’s work-life balance situation
and situation and recommendations for Alibaba Group (which are also comment at section 4).
