AB - [SPA] El objetivo principal de este trabajo es analizar si existen diferentes motivaciones en la elección de la carrera universitaria entre estudiantes de los grupos bilingüe y no bilingüe del grado en Administración y Dirección de Empresas de la Universidad Politécnica de Cartagena. Para llevar a cabo dicho estudio, se elaboró un cuestionario en el que se preguntaba al alumnado de ambos grupos sobre sus motivaciones para elegir la carrera, basándose en la escala propuesta por Gámez y Marrero (2003). Los resultados del análisis factorial exploratorio muestran que, tras identificar en el alumnado hasta seis tipos de motivaciones, no existen diferencias significativas entre estudiantes de ambos grupos (bilingüe y no bilingüe) para cada uno de los tipos de motivación. Dichos resultados tienen implicaciones tanto en el ámbito de los docentes de secundaria y bachillerato, como en el de la gestión universitaria. [ENG] The main objective of this work is to analyze the existence of different motivations in he decision of starting a bachelor degree, between the students of both the bilingual and non-bilingual group of Business Administration at Technical University of Cartagena. To carry out this study, a survey was developed in which motivations to choose the degree were requested to the students, according to the scale proposed by Gámez & Marrero (2003). The results of the exploratory factorial analysis show that, after identifying six types of motivations, there are not significant differences between both groups (bilingual and non-bilingual) for each type of motivation. These results have implications at secondary school and at University.
