AB - [SPA El Trabajo Fin de Máster (TFM), que se propone aborda un tema de mucha actualidad que, sin embargo, no es especialmente nuevo: la manipulación informativa. Utilizando el término anglosajón dicha manipulación se conoce como fake news, o noticias falsas, si se traduce literalmente. El objetivo fundamental de este trabajo consiste en describir en qué consiste el concepto de noticia falsa, cuáles son y/o han sido las motivaciones fundamentales para generar y distribuir este tipo de información, cómo se ha ejercido la manipulación informativa a lo largo de la Historia y, finalmente, cómo influyen las Tecnologías de la Información y las Comunicaciones (TICs), en la creación y difusión masiva (incluso a nivel mundial), de las noticias falsas. Además, en el trabajo también se reflejará el estado de opinión existente sobre el concepto de fake news y los agentes implicados en su elaboración y propagación. Para ello, se diseñará una encuesta que permita evaluar, de un modo objetivo, cuál es la percepción que un grupo suficientemente significativo de miembros de la ciudadanía de la Región de Murcia tienen sobre el concepto de manipulación informativa y cómo afecta a su vida diaria y a sus decisiones.

The Master's Thesis (TFM), addresses a fascinating issue that is not exclusively new: disinformation in social media. Using the Anglo-Saxon term, this answer is literally known as false news or fake news. The main objective of this work is to describe what the concept of false news consists of and to identify what are the fundamental motivations to generate and distribute this type of information. Also, we will examine how information manipulation has been exercised throughout history and how the Internet influences the creation and dissemination of false news worldwide. In addition, the work will also identify the existing state of mind of false news and the agents involved in its preparation and propagation. Finally, a survey research designs will be produced to the citizens of the Region of Murcia in disinformation to describe how it affects their daily lives and their decisions.
