The paper describes an Automated Visual Inspection - AVI- System embedded in the control of the production process of complex mechanical pieces. This implies
integration of NDT systems (Automated Visual
Inspection system, Optical Roughness assessment system and Laser measurement system, performing over CAD data from pieces), quality assessment system,
production process's assessment system and tracking system.
