%X [SPA]  Ante la aparición de las primeras variedades de uva de mesa apirenas, el Departamento de Viticultura del IMIDA comenzó su programa de obtención de nuevas variedades en 1991, usando principalmente variedades locales de la Región de Murcia. En el año 2002 se crea la empresa ITUM, S.L., Investigación y Tecnología en Uva de Mesa, constituida por la mayoría de productores de uva de mesa de la región de Murcia (España). El convenio entre ITUM e IMIDA da un gran impulso al programa de mejora, siendo el principal objetivo el desarrollo de nuevas variedades de uva de mesa apirenas con buena calidad para el consumidor y económicamente rentables para el productor y el mercado. Resultado de esta colaboración son las 14 variedades registradas, destacan por la textura crujiente que presentan las bayas y que ninguna requiere poda manual de racimos. Los productores socios de ITUM han plantado más de 350 Ha en los 3 años que llevan registradas las variedades. En el año 2012 se registraron 12 variedades. A finales del pasado 2014 se registraron dos nuevas variedades, que además de ser uvas apirenas con textura crujiente presentan sabor moscatel, Itumthirteen e Itumfourteen, para satisfacer la tendencia actual de los mercados, cada vez más exigentes en cuanto a frutas con aroma y sabor que atraiga a los consumidores. Ambas de media estación en lo que a maduración se refiere, Itumthirteen tiene bayas blancas de pulpa jugosa, mientras que Itumfourteen destaca por su color rojo vivo. En cuanto a la difusión mundial de las variedades, se envió material vegetal en cultivo "in vitro" a Chile para su comercialización en Sudamérica, y a Sudáfrica para su venta en Sudáfrica y Namibia; el presente año se envió material vegetal para su explotación en Australia.
[ENG]  With the emergence of the first varieties of seedless table grape, the Department of Viticulture IMIDA began breeding program new varieties in 1991, its main source of local varieties of the Murcia region. In 2002 the company ITUM , SL, Research and Technology in Table Grape, made by most producers of table grapes in the region of Murcia (Spain) is created. The agreement between ITUM and IMIDA gives a boost to the improvement program, the main objective the development of new varieties of seedless table grape quality for the consumer and economically profitable for the producer and the market. Result of this collaboration are the 14 varieties registered, stand out the crunchy texture having berries and none requires manual pruning clusters. ITUM partners producers have planted more than 350 hectares in the three years leading registered varieties. In 2012, twelve varieties were register. Late last 2014 two new varieties, in addition to being seedless grapes with crunchy have muscat flavor, Itumthirteen and Itumfourteen, to meet current market trends increasingly demanding about fruit aroma and flavor were recorded that attract consumers. Midseason both as relates to maturation, has white berries Itumthirteen juicy flesh, while Itumfourteen noted for its bright red. As for the global spread of varieties, plant material was sent "in vitro" to Chile for marketing in South America and South Africa for sale in RSA and Namibia cultivation; this year plant material was sent for exploitation in Australia.
