Irrupción de Uber y Cabify en el mercado taxista

Abstract

[Esp]El objetivo de este trabajo es describir y analizar el taxi frente a las empresas Uber y Cabify desde el punto de vista del mercado de competencia monopolística, estudiando este tipo de mercado y observando sus características. Analizaremos en profundidad las tres empresas y el mercado en el que se encuentran, así como el enfrentamiento entre ellas desde diferentes perspectivas. También nos centraremos en la huelga llamada “guerra del taxi”, tema por el que decidí desarrollar este trabajo. Conoceremos el inicio del conflicto y su desarrollo hasta la actualidad, así como las medidas exigidas y las finalmente adoptadas por las entidades públicas. Es importante entender el papel que juegan las licencias para el desarrollo de la actividad de las tres empresas y toda la problemática que arrastra la concesión de estas, por lo que estudiaremos mediante gráficos la irregular situación de las licencias en las diferentes comunidades autónomas. Ajustándonos a la situación que vive nuestro país frente a la pandemia conocida como Covid-19, veremos como las diferentes compañías han adaptado mejor sus servicios a esta contagiosa enfermedad. Finalmente, se concluye con unas recomendaciones que puedan hacer más justa la convivencia de las VTC y el taxi en nuestro país. [Eng]The objective of this study is to describe and analyze the taxi against the Uber and Cabify companies from the point of view of the monopolistic competition market, studying this type of market and observing its characteristics. We will analyze in depth the three companies and the market they are in, as well as the confrontation between them from different perspectives. We will also focus on the strike called the "taxi war", which is why I decided to carry out this study. We will know the beginning of the conflict and its development nowadays, and the measures required and those finally adopted by public entities. It is important to understand the role that licenses play for the development of the activity of the three companies and all the problems that are involved in their concession, so we will study the irregular situation of licenses in the different autonomous communities through charts. Adjusting to the situation in our country facing the pandemic known as Covid-19, we will see how different companies have adapted their services to this contagious disease. Finally, it concludes with some recommendations that can make the coexistence of the VTC and the taxi in our country more just.
