Características relevantes para el aprendizaje efectivo de una lengua extranjera

Abstract

[SPA]Este artículo tiene la finalidad de detallar todos los factores o características relevantes a tener en cuenta cuando pretendemos enseñar a los estudiantes, bien a un nivel de primaria, bien a un nivel de secundaria, sobre todo en el aprendizaje de una lengua extranjera, que normalmente suele ser el inglés. Con el fin de esclarecer un tanto los diversos factores que intervienen en el proceso de enseñanza-aprendizaje, uno de los principales objetivos de este estudio era analizar algunos de las características que más intervienen en el proceso. Entre los aspectos analizados, podemos mencionar el estudio de las etapas de desarrollo cognitivo establecidas por el francés Jean Piaget, el concepto de inteligencias múltiples propuesto por el estadounidense Howard Gardner y finalmente lo que constituiría ser un buen estudiante de lenguas. Una vez analizados dichos aspectos, hemos obtenido las conclusiones más importantes, sobre todo aquellas que más puedan afectar nuestra práctica docente diaria a la hora de enseñar a niños-adolescentes. [ENG]The goal of this article is to set in detail all the relevant factors or characteristics to bear in mind when we aim at teaching to children, whether at a primary or at a secondary level. Above all, this is important in the teaching process of a foreign language, which often happens to be the case of English. With the aim of deepening into the different factors which intervene in the teaching-learning process, one of the main objectives of this research was to analyse some of the most relevant characteristics which step into the process. Among the most important aspects analysed, we can emphasise the study of Jean Piaget’s cognitive developmental stages, the concept of multiple intelligences as proposed by Howard Gardner, and finally, what it would happen to be a good language learner for us. Once analysed all these aspects, we have obtained some of the most relevant conclusion of the research, above all, the ones that most affect our daily teaching practice when teaching young children or adolescents.
