%X [Esp]La  peregrinación  religiosa  a  la  Meca  es  uno  de  los  pilares 
fundamentales del islam, por lo que cada año se reúne en este lugar 
sagrado un gran número de personas. La estancia de los peregrinos en 
Mina, a cinco kilómetros de la Meca donde pasan tres días de vida 
comunitaria y religiosa, forma una parte fundamental de todo el 
proceso.  
En  este  proyecto,  parámetros  como  metamorfosis  y  movilidad, 
propios de grupos de utopía como el Metabolismo japonés, destacan 
como métodos proyectuales para solucionar los principales problemas 
de la zona, como el alojamiento que se resuelve mediante estructuras 
flexibles capaces de absorber el número en constante aumento de los 
peregrinos, formadas por cápsulas que albergan distintos servicios 
como: camas, aseos y duchas, refrigeración, información, etc. Los 
propios usuarios son los responsables de organizar los módulos según 
sus necesidades, ya que son flexibles y fáciles de transportar.  
La preservación del paisaje natural de Mina era uno las principales 
exigencias  del  promotor,  por  lo  que  se  desarrollaron  unos 
equipamientos fijos incrustados en las montañas laterales, y unas 
construcciones móviles que durante el resto del año se guardan dentro 
de los edificios fijos, así toda la franja central de la ciudad se queda 
vacía la mayor parte del tiempo, lo que le da el carácter temporal a la 
ciudad. 
A partir de aquí se inicia un proceso de reconstrucción gráfica que 
permitirá  analizar  y  completar  la  documentación  que  existe  del 
proyecto. [Eng]The religious pilgrimage to Mecca is one of the fundamental pillars of 
Islam, which is why every year a large number of people gather in this 
sacred place. The pilgrims' stay in Mina, five kilometers from Mecca 
where they spend three days of communal and religious life, forms a 
fundamental part of the whole process.  
In this project, parameters such as metamorphosis and mobility, 
typical of utopian groups such as Japanese Metabolism, stand out as 
project methods to solve the main problems of the area, such as 
accommodation, which  is  solved  by means  of  flexible  structures 
capable of absorbing the constantly increasing number of pilgrims, 
formed by capsules that house different services such as: beds, toilets 
and showers, refrigeration, information, etc. The users themselves are 
responsible for organizing the modules according to their needs, as 
they are flexible and easy to transport.  
The preservation of the natural landscape of Mina was one of the main 
requirements of the developer, so fixed facilities were developed 
embedded in the side mountains, and mobile buildings that during the 
rest of the year are kept inside the fixed buildings, so the entire central 
strip of the city is empty most of the time, which gives the temporary 
character to the city. 
From this point on, a process of graphic reconstruction begins, which 
will allow us to analyze and complete the existing documentation of 
the project.
