AB - [SPA] El presente artículo está dedicado a la historia de una investigación que viene desarrollándose desde hace veinte años: la relación entre el ferrocarril y la costa del Vesubio. Se trata de un trabajo todavía actual. Al menos por dos razones: en primer lugar. por el escaso cambio geográfico y territorial de la zona objeto de estudio; y, en segundo, por los métodos y técnicas empleados, que han sido capaces de anticipar algunos de los problemas que aún perviven en la actualidad. L'articolo ripercorre le vicende significative di una ricerca, sviluppata circa ventanni fa. che indagava il difficile rapporto tra la costa e la ferrovia nell'area a oriente di Napoli. Questo lavoro puo essere considerato ancora di anualita per almeno due ragioni: la prima risiede nella constatazione che le condizioni del territorio di cui stiamo parlando sono poco mutate da allora. La seconda e riconoscibile nel fatto che i metodi e le tecniche utilizzate nell'elaborazione della ricerca sembrano anticipare alcune delle questioni oggi all'ordine del giorno. [ENG] The article is dedicated to the story of a research developed twenty years ago. The theme of the research was the relationship between the railway and the Vesuvian coast. This is still a current work for at least two reasons: the first is that the territory we are talking about has changed little. The second is that the methods and techniques u sed, anticipated some of the issues that seem to be on the agenda today.
