AB - [ESP] El municipio de Cartagena cuenta con un amplio patrimonio arquitectónico caracterizado, tanto por los edificios de tendencias modernistas y eclécticas ubicados el centro histórico de la ciudad y los numerosos yacimientos arqueológicos existentes, como por las singulares construcciones defensivas construidas a lo largo de su litoral. En cambio, a pesar de su dilatada historia, ha sido incapaz durante mucho tiempo de realizar de
un modo sistemático la identificación y registro de sus bienes inmuebles de relevancia cultural. Este objetivo fue finalmente logrado durante el último tercio del s.XX, siendo el resultado de dos regulaciones normativas de diferente motivación: cultural y urbanística. De ambas, se propone en el presente artículo abordar el ámbito del planeamiento urbanístico analizando los distintos catálogos arquitectónicos elaborados hasta el momento. [ENG] Cartagena has an important architectural heritage mainly characterized by the buildings of modernist and eclectic tendencies located in the historic center of the city and its numerous archaeological sites, as well as
its singular defensive constructions. Despite having an important history, the city has been unable to perform a systematic identification and registration of its monuments of artistic and historical value for a long time. This objective was finally achieved at the end of the twentieth century, thanks to two regulations of different motivation: cultural and urban. From both it is proposed in this article survey the field of urban planning, analyzing the various architectural catalogs produced throughout history.
