El estado del proceso administrativo de la microempresa en el sur del Istmo de Tehuantepec, México

Abstract

[ESP] El propósito de este trabajo fue determinar el nivel de conocimiento y aplicación del proceso administrativo en la microempresa del sur del Istmo de Tehuantepec, México. Con esto se pretende generar insumos hacia la transformación de la microempresa en organizaciones mejor dotadas, innovadoras y generadoras de empleos en un contexto globalizado y de alta competitividad. La estrategia metodológica de esta investigación consistió en recabar información, vía muestreo estratificado, de las funciones administrativas: planeación, organización, dirección y control. Los resultados encontrados señalan que el nivel de escolaridad y la edad del microempresario son las variables más significativas para explicar los diferentes niveles del proceso administrativo. Adicionalmente, las deficiencias detectadas en las funciones administrativas al interior de la microempresa del sur del Istmo de Tehuantepec guardan consistencia con su esperanza de vida, la cual no supera los cuatro años. [ENG] The purpose of this study was to determine the level of knowledge and application of the management process in microenterprises of the southern Isthmus of Tehuantepec, Mexico. This is intended to generate inputs to the transformation of microenterprises into better equipped, innovative and job-generating organizations in a highly competitive global context. The methodological strategy of this research was to gather information via a stratified sample of the management functions: planning, organizing, directing and controlling. The results indicate that the level of education and age of microentrepreneurs are the most significant variables to explain the different levels of the management process. In addition, the detected deficiencies in the administrative functions within the microenterprises of the southern Isthmus of Tehuantepec are consistent with their life expectancies, which do not exceed four years.
