%X [ESP] La propuesta  de un Centro de Interpretación del Mar Menor está orientada a la puesta en valor del litoral, tanto terrestre como sumergido, para contribuir al logro de tres objetivos fundamentales: El primer objetivo tendría una vertiente  cultural  y educacional,  ya que el centro podría  contribuir a la mejora del conocimiento del público sobre los diversos ecosistemas de este espacio natural y sus especies emblemáticas y protegidas, además de su legado histórico y etnográfico. Un segundo objetivo, con una vertiente de conservación medioambiental, estaría en relación con sensibilizar al público en la protección de este espacio natural y las  diferentes  amenazas  que  la  actividad  humana  le  ocasiona.  En  tercer  lugar  y relacionado
con los dos objetivos anteriores, estaría el fomento de un turismo sostenible en este paisaje protegido de los “Espacios Abiertos e Islas del Mar Menor”.
Tratando  de  responder  a  estos  objetivos,  se  propone  un  centro  de  interpretación  con posible ubicación en el municipio de San Javier, que se estructuraría, entre otras, con una zona  de  recepción,  un  área  de  venta  de  recuerdos,  una  sala  de audiovisuales,  un  aula didáctica  y  una  zona  de  exposición  temática  para  el  programa  ambiental  y  cultural.
Se presenta  también  un  plan  de  difusión  del  mismo  así  como  un  estudio  de  los  distintos segmentos turísticos y poblacionales que potencialmente podrían visitarlo.
[ENG] The proposal of an Interpretation Centre is aimed to put a value on the Mar Menor coast, both terrestrial and submerged, to contribute to the achievement of three main objectives. The first objective would have a cultural and educationalaspect, since the centre could contribute to the improvement of the knowledge of the visitors on the diverse ecosystems of this natural space and its emblematic and protected species, as well as its historic and ethnographic heritage.
A second aim, with an environmental conservation point of view, would be in a relationship with sensitizing the visitors to the preservation of this natural space and the different threats that human activity causes it.
Thirdly, and in consonance with the two previous objectives, would be the promotion of a sustainable tourism in this protected landscape called “Espacios Abiertos e Islas del Mar Menor”.
Trying  to  respond  to  these  objectives,  the  proposal  of  an  interpretation  centre  is  made with a possible location in the municipality of San Javier. It would be structured, among others, with a reception zone, a souvenirs shop, an audiovisuals room, a didactic room and an exhibition thematic room for the environmental and cultural program.
A plan for the dissemination of the centre as well as a study of the various segments of tourism and population which potentially could visit it arealso presented.
