The original formulation of the models is defined on the spatial domain and it is based on the minimization of an energy functional through the Euler-Lagrange differential equations. In this paper, a new formulation is proposed in the frequency domain, for the adaptation process of the contours and meshes to the external forces. The presented frequency approach provides an easier and more computationally efficient implementation, allowing the use of deformable models to a greater number of areas. %K Teoría de la Señal y las Comunicaciones %K Ecuaciones de Euler-Lagrange %K Modelos deformables %K Snake %K Ecuaciones diferenciales %K Euler-Lagrange equation %K Deformable model %K Differential equation %~ GOEDOC, SUB GOETTINGEN
