%X [SPA]  En los últimos años, se han propuesto materiales alternativos como medio de crecimiento para la turba con ciertas funciones de valor agregado, como la supresión de fitopatógenos, así como la actividad bioestimulante y/o biofertilizante. El objetivo de este trabajo fue evaluar veintitrés compostas agroindustriales como un componente parcial de los medios de crecimiento en el crecimiento de lechugas de hoja infectadas por Pythium irregulare. Los compost se produjeron mezclando diferentes materias primas y diferentes aditivos al comienzo de la fase de maduración. La caracterización fisicoquímica indicó que los compost mostraban un grado de madurez adecuada y podían usarse como medios de cultivo. El peso de la lechuga fresca después de la cosecha y la supresividad con los tratamientos con compost fueron significativamente mayor en comparación con la turba, siendo el café como aditivo el que mayor biomasa mostró.
[ENG]  In the last years, alternative materials as partial or total growing media to peat with certain added-value functions such as the phytopathogen suppression, as well as biostimulant and/or biofertilizing activity, have been proposed. The aim of this work was to evaluate twenty-three agro-industrial composts as partial component of growing media on the growth of baby-leaf lettuce infected by Pythium irregulare. The composts were produced by mixing different feedstocks and different additives at the starting of maturation phase. The physico-chemical characterization indicated that the composts showed an adequate maturity degree and they could be used as growing media. The fresh lettuce weight after harvesting grown and the suppressivity with compost treatments were significantly higher compared to peat, composts with coffe showing the highest biomass as additive.
