AB - [SPA] Partiendo de un ejemplo de gestión patrimonial especialmente productivo en tiempos de crisis económica, se argumenta una reflexión sobre el poder que puede ostentar la arquitectura en la generación de urbanidad. En este caso dos edificios de origen militar se reutilizan como contenedores; pero no solo como habilitadores de una vida interior colectiva, sino como entes capaces de conseguir urbanizar su entorno, no tanto en el sentido de sus equipamientos e infraestructuras cuanto en el de la promoción de la vida cívica. El valor de esta arquitectura se revitaliza al conseguir estar al servicio del conjunto de la comunidad. La metodología, alejada en este caso del poder económico y demostrando pocos fastos en su ejecución, alienta en su resolución la vida social, anima los encuentros y abre espacios a la imaginación. Hace del hecho acontecimiento; y en ello radica el poder de esta arquitectura. [ENG] Using an example of patrimonial management, especially productive in times of economic crisis, it is argued a reflection on the power that can show the architecture in the generation of urbanity. In this
case, two buildings of military origin are reused as containers; But not only as enablers of a collective inner life, but as entities able to urbanize their environment, not so much in the sense of their facilities and infrastructures as in the promotion of civic life.
The value of this architecture is revitalized by being at the service of the community as a whole. The methodology, far removed from economic power and showing little ostentation or pomposity in its execution, encourages social life in its resolution, encourages encounters and opens spaces for the imagination. It makes from the fact an event; and in it lies the power of this architecture.
