%0 Journal Article %A Bueno Delgado, María Víctoria %A Pavón Mariño, Pablo %A García Haro, Juan %T Herramienta oPASS para la evaluación de prestaciones de arquitecturas de Conmutación Óptica de Paquetes %D 2005 %U http://hdl.handle.net/10317/1627 %X In this paper we describe oPASS (Optical PAcket Switch Simulator), a simulation tool specifically designed for the evaluation of slotted Optical Packet Switching (OPS) switching architectures. oPASS is implemented in OMNET++, a general purpose eventdriven simulation framework. oPASS allows the evaluation of classical parameters in packet networks like packet loss probability and distribution of packet delay. Specific issues associated to OPS networks are also incorporated: a set of particular OPS networks traffic generators, simulation modules for the evaluation of most relevant OPS switching architectures and the collection of specific statistics associated to packet order issues in OPS networks. Some simulation results are presented to illustrate the tool. oPASS is flexible and extensible.
