AB - [SPA]En este artículo se presenta y evalúa una competición por equipos dentro del aula como metodología docente.
Identificados los potenciales beneficios y perjuicios de someter a estudiantes a una competición durante el proceso de
aprendizaje, con el fin de que sea saludable, la actividad se diseña de tal modo que se realiza en un periodo de tiempo
corto, por la obtención de un premio simbólico, y haciendo que todos los participantes sientan que tienen la oportunidad
de ganar y que siempre salen beneficiados por el aprendizaje alcanzado, independientemente de su clasificación en la
contienda. Además, teniendo como objetivo incrementar la motivación de los estudiantes y controlar su participación en
las tareas para/con los equipos, la competición propuesta también integra características y elementos del bien conocido
aprendizaje cooperativo. Los resultados de las evaluaciones realizadas son muy positivos, mostrando un alto grado de
motivación, satisfacción, diversión y cohesión social de los estudiantes. [ENG]In this paper, we present and evaluate a team competition in the classroom as a teaching methodology. Once identified
the potential benefits and harms of forcing students to compete themselves during the learning process, and aiming to be
healthy, the activity is designed in such a way that it takes a short period of time, is undertaken for a symbolic prize, and
is characterized by all participants feeling like they have a chance to win, and are always benefited by the learning goals
and skills achieved, regardless their ranking position in the contest. Furthermore, aiming to increase the students’
motivation and control their participation in the tasks within the teams, the proposed competition also includes features
and elements of the well-known cooperative learning strategy. The results obtained from the conducted evaluations are
quite positive, showing a high level of motivation, satisfaction, fun and social cohesion among the students.
