%X [SPA] La relación existente entre hombre y jardín ha evolucionado en el tiempo y en relación al lugar. En Europa, en Italia y sobre todo en Palermo es interesante analizar cómo este vínculo se ha desarrollado, y cómo ha influido la función del jardín dentro de la ciudad, a lo largo de los siglos. En la cultura europea, la noción de tiene una raíz etimológica común derivada del latín de la Edad Media Gardinium. Éste se refería a un lugar cerrado y amurallado, evolución del hortus conclusus romano hasta el gardinus medieval, y testimoniaba la permanencia tipológica de una arquitectura con pórtico perimetral, presente también en el claustro de los monasterios. [ENG] The relationship between man and garden has always changed over time and place. In Europe, in Italy and especially in Palermo is interesting to analyze how this relation has been developed and how it has influenced the role of the garden in the city, over the centuries. In European culture the concept of "garden" is a common etymological root from the Latin of the Middle Ages Gardinium.
